The ideal Candidate must be motivated, and have a passion for trend-conscious cuisine! The Chef will be reporting to the General Manager.

Short Position Summary:

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while providing a positive work environment. The Chef should have experience in an upscale casual and/or trendy/casual restaurant with strong interpersonal skills to lead a kitchen.

Qualifications:

3 years culinary management experience in similar position

Experience in busy, upscale/casual or trendy/casual dining operation

Excellent leadership qualities with a high ability for culinary craftmanship

Effective decision-making and directing staff diplomatically

Excellent communication skills

Menu development, food costing and staff development

Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a team environment

Position Description:

The Executive Chef’s main responsibility is for the overall operation of the culinary department. This leadership position works effectively within the team environment towards the goals of operational execution, customer service and employee satisfaction.

The Executive Chef will maintain high standards of food quality and service. Responsibilities include total food production systems, including purchasing, menu developing. Also responsible for hiring, training and development of culinary staff.

Qualifications:

• 6 years culinary management experience in busy, upscale dining operation• Strong leadership qualities with a high ability for culinary craftsmanship, effective decision-making and directing staff diplomatically.
