General Store Manager

The Store & Community Manager is responsible for creating a paramount customer experience and work environment while achieving business development goals in line with the brand’s strategies and values. The Store Manager will also be accountable for achieving sales, community and operational objectives,

Our new store opened in early January 2020 and is the Resort and Town General Store with 6500 square feet of new retail space, including a Beer and Wine Store. We now are looking for a retail professional to join our store team and grow with us! Live-in positions are available.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Represent the store in a positive light and exhibit excellent customer service skills
  • Train new employees
  • Work closely with members of our Management team.
  • Manage all aspects of our day-to-day business, including our beer and wine store; deli; and general store
  • Regularly update Store Market’s Social Media account.
  • Employee scheduling and making changes to schedules
  • Open and close the store on predetermined days
  • Take responsibility for preparing the store for business and making sure all closing tasks are done before the end of the day
  • Maintain high standards for store appearance and retail displays
  • Research new products and purchase new inventory
  • Evaluate store sales, prepare reports and suggest ways to increase sales and improve business
  • Train employees in handling daily cash and filling out cash out reports
  • Receiving and inputting inventory 
  • Responsible for purchasing inventory, including food, tobacco products and liquor orders
  • Development of new sales or recruiting programs
  • Hold employees to high standards of conduct and be responsible for noticing and correcting any negative behavior. Carry out any disciplinary measures needed.
  • Managing inventory counts and working closely with our Finance team
  • Embody the values of the company and put customers first

STORE Manager Job Requirements

  • Responsibility, reliability and trustworthiness
  • Meticulousness and good organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft systems (word,excel and outlook)
  • Previous retail experience
  • 5 years experience or equivalent.
  • Strong work references
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with NCR POS system.

The Grocery, Retail, Beer and Wine Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for creating a paramount customer experience and work environment while achieving business development goals in line with the brand’s strategies and values. The Store Manager will also be accountable for achieving sales, community and operational objectives.

Our upcoming new store location opening in early January 2020 will be our key resort market store with deli, food to go and 6500 square feet of new retail space. We now are looking for like minded retail professional to join our store teams and grow with us! Live in positions are also available.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest degree of customer service and store standards every day.
  • Manage the development of store and brand clientele; follow-through with client needs, inquiries and sales opportunities etc.
  • Establish relationships within the community and building our local rewards program.
  • Administer our local social media resources as directed by corporate.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor.
  • Effective utilization of POS system and its inventory management functions.
  • Partner with logistics and product teams to ensure appropriate merchandise assortment and quantities.
  • Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports.
  • Present opportunities for strategic merchandising adjustments to enhance customer experience and sales.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 5 years of professional experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in retail stores.
  • Minimum of two years working in a leadership or supervisory role,
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and build a high performing team in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted, bend, twist, and kneeling

Key Responsibilities
