Short
position description:
Leading this high volume catering operation with a
large staff, requires a hands-on leader and mentor that strives for service
excellence and has a solid background in high-volume catering. This GM will
be a visionary for creative, innovative service and product
ideas and posses strong knowledge of food & beverage trends, is passionate about coaching and developing the team.
The General
Manager will be overseeing the entire catering division, including support and
guidance for event sales, business development and be involved in implementing
marketing and promotional activities and strategies.
The company is planning an exciting
expansion that will offer additional concepts in the near future. This is an opportunity for an inspired,
passionate General Manager to lead his/her team through future change and
beyond.
Education & Experience:
The successful candidate ideally has 5 years of
senior management experience in high volume F&B operations including
catering operations. This may be also a great opportunity
for an Executive Chef/Owner of a catering company.
- 3 years leading role experience in event planning, including high volume, casual, upscale casual and fine dining events
- A hospitality degree
- Excellent team leader, developer & motivator
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective decision making skills and strong problem solving skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Passion for the F&B/hospitality industry
- In touch with food & beverage trends
- Computer literate with MS Office applications and excellent understanding of POS systems
