Our client operates a well-known AAA City hotel, part of a diversified larger hospitality company. This is a highly profitable property and is known for its great service, and commitment to guest satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a Hotel General Manager 


Approximately 250-Room City Hotel

2 F&B outlets, Banquets, Conference Centre

The ideal candidate is a highly seasoned and intelligent hotel professional with outstanding management and leadership skills, possesses extensive knowledge of hotel operations, a positive attitude, the ability to oversee all operations, activities, and departments in the hotel in order to maximize revenue, deliver a positive guest experience and create a team atmosphere that promotes learning and mentorship.

This inspirational leader is responsible for driving, communicating and supporting all departmental processes within operations. The General Manager will be in charge for the strategic planning, and financial forecasting

Short position description:

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of all related areas of the Hotel and Convention Center.

The General Manager will be in charge for the strategic planning, financial forecasting, crew satisfaction deliverables and overall guest satisfaction. The General Manager will be working closely with the sales & marketing team and event planners, reporting directly to the Vice President Hotels.

  •    Highly motivated, organized, and results driven
  •    Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  •    Professional in presentation and demeanor
  •    Ability to deal with management, associates, guests, and general public in a courteous, tactful and patient manner.
  •    Strong sales experience with proven ability to plan, develop and execute strategies.
  •   Develop and implement annual operating plans including financial forecasts, service strategies and operations delivery
  •   Proven excellent overall leadership, mentorship, supervisory and management skills
  •    Excellent guest relation skills
  •    Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  •   Minimum of 4+ years experience as General Manager in a full-service, 4 star hotel property or similar upscale hotel, with F&B outlets and Convention/Banquet facilities.

•    Business Administration degree or equivalent preferred

•    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or

      a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in hospitality are a

      plus.

•    Strong understanding of Rooms Division

•    Excellent management, negotiating and organizational skills

•    Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results

•    Food & Beverage management experience considered an asset

•    Past experience in community engagement would be an asset

•    Experience in financial control, planning and reporting in a hospitality

      environment

•    Working knowledge of current technology including property

      management systems an advantage

•    Microsoft Office and Opera PMS proficiency

•    Potential and capability to grow into future Area General Manager
