Chef de Cuisine required for a well planned, organized kitchen operation with high food standards.
Our client is a well-known first class award winning Resort in the Okanagan, situated in a breathtaking setting with spectacular views.
We are looking for an established qualified Chef de Cuisine with a hands-on culinary management approach and a background in fine dining. This Resort’s award winning contemporary cuisine is reflecting regional, seasonal farm to table ingredients and local wines.
The ideal Candidate must be motivated, be meticulous and have a passion for excellent, trend-conscious cuisine! The Chef will be reporting to the Culinary Director of Food & Beverage.
Be part of an electric, friendly, professional, state-of-the-art culinary and world-class restaurant dining team. Excellent working atmosphere! Successful candidate must have a similar position experience, at hotels and/or fine dining restaurants. The Chef de Cuisine is expected to have excellent team management skills.
Qualifications:
3 years culinary management experience in similar position
Experience in busy, upscale/casual dining operation
Excellent leadership qualities with a high ability for culinary craftmanship
Effective decision-making and directing staff diplomatically
Excellent communication skills
Menu development, food costing and staff development
Outstanding organizational skills and highly proficient at multi-tasking
Demonstrated excellent Customer relations
Red Seal or similar certification
Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a team environment
